Our Woven Webs: Meet Aura Preview

10/2/2026

Preview Summary: Five years after losing her parents, ten-year-old Aura Webster finds comfort with her childhood friend. After an already difficult day, the two head for the nearby woods, only to face a run-in with the boys who regularly target Aura. But the day doesn't end as expected, and the experience turns into something she carries with her years later. By junior year, Aura has built a quieter life around her art, her routines, and the people she trusts. Now, as she prepares to meet a new coworker and return to public school after a long stretch of homeschooling, she has to find out whether the confidence she has been practicing is enough to take another step forward.

Content Disclosures: Childhood bereavement following the accidental deaths of both parents; grief-related guilt and emotional distress; childhood bullying; panic and anxiety responses; attempted physical violence between children; and references to leaving public school because of past bullying.
