There, surrounded by her forest friends, the outside world with all its haunting memories and expectations can't follow her. Until it does. When a college classmate unexpectedly finds her in the middle of that refuge, Lyra immediately braces for the ridicule she has learned to expect. Instead, the encounter leaves her wondering whether being seen might not always mean being ridiculed.
